Kumari Production Team

The production of Kumari: A Father's Dream brought together a team of high-caliber, accomplished, and well-respected professionals. Each member of the team has given their time, energy, and skills to produce not only an engaging and inspiring film but also a tool to continue to bring awareness and support to the region of Kumari.

It is the hope of the production team that viewers will also walk away inspired to take action in their communities. Jagat shows us, that no matter what resources we may have available, each one of us has the power to effect change.

Sean is an award-winning visual storyteller, passionate media educator, internationally published photographer, and honored contributor to a Northwest Regional Emmy Award.

Since 2002 his creative work has been dedicated to creating socially responsible stories and educating others in the art of visual storytelling. Collaborating with dynamic nonprofits and leading industry brands, Sean works to cultivate global relationships with social and environmental impact.

His credits include contributions to national broadcast television and international film festivals as well as print and web photography publications with Smithsonian Magazine, Outside Magazine, High Country News, and others.

Sean works with youth and adult learners and creates dynamic and exciting learning environments and has taught over 1,000 students. He lives in the Columbia River Gorge of Oregon with his wife and two children. In his spare time, Sean is in pursuit of wilderness experiences, silent moments, and positive interactions with new faces.

Andy McDonough founded Roped In Productions in 2012. He has since produced multiple award-winning adventure documentaries starting with the hit climbing films K2: SIREN OF THE HIMALAYAS (2012) and DIRTBAG: THE LEGEND OF FRED BECKEY (2018), winner of 26 awards at festivals around the world.

Andy's most recent release SUPER FRENCHIE (2021) which will be airing in 2022 on National Geographic.

Jason is an award-winning editor, producer, and director. He directed and produced the Emmy award-winning MAN ZOU: BEIJING TO SHANGHAI and the Webby award-winning SONICSGATE: REQUIEM FOR A TEAM, which aired on CNBC and ESPN. He also produced and edited the feature documentaries K2: SIREN OF THE HIMALAYAS and EVERGREEN: THE ROAD TO LEGALIZATION, which both streamed on Netflix, and DIRTBAG: THE LEGEND OF FRED BECKEY, which won 26 awards at film festivals.

In 2020, he won his second Emmy for the short documentary THE ORIGINAL VOICE OF THE SEAHAWKS. He directed and produced BACKFIRE: HOW TO DESTROY A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE and THE ULTIMATE UPSET for ESPN Films / FiveThirtyEight. He also edited the award-winning feature documentaries CRAZYWISE and THE WEIGHT OF WATER and co-produced and edited Reed Harkness’ FOREST ON FIRE. In 2020, he also edited the doc series HOUSE ON FIRE and directed three episodes of the travel/adventure doc series, THE WIZARD’S EYE. He is also the producer of SUPER FRENCHIE, a feature documentary that was released by Greenwich Entertainment in 2021 and will air on National Geographic in 2022.

Jason recently participated in Gotham Week's Project Market: Spotlight On Documentaries and was selected as a Film Independent Fellow for the ITVS-funded feature documentary, SAM NOW.

Noah Woodburn is an award-winning sound designer and mixer with 13+ years of professional dedication to his craft.

Prior to launching Field Day Sound in 2021, Noah spent 8 years at the helm of Wieden+Kennedy’s audio department, Joint Editorial, emerging as one of the preeminent sound designers/mixers on the west coast and leading Joint Editorial to an Ad Age Sound Company of the Year nomination in 2020.

Noah builds trust with his clients through careful listening and empathy while pushing the work to be its best. As a lifelong musician and composer, Noah also has a deep understanding of music for film and tv and can double as a composer or music producer working within his network of talented composers and musicians.

When not in the mixing chair, Noah spends his time singing to his newborn son, Robin, and enjoying life with his partner, Lindsey, and their dog, Livi, having dinner parties with their friends, mountain biking, hiking, and camping in their van.

Darren Lund is editing SAM NOW with producer/editor Jason Reid. Darren is an editor on many award-winning films including SONICSGATE: REQUIEM FOR A TEAM, MAN ZOU: BEIJING TO SHANGHAI, K2: SIREN OF THE HIMALAYAS, EVERGREEN: THE ROAD TO LEGALIZATION, THE FINISH LINE, and MR. IRRELEVANT.

He edited FOREST ON FIRE, BACKFIRE: HOW TO DESTROY A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, and THE ULTIMATE UPSET for ESPN Films / FiveThirtyEight, edited the feature documentary CRAZYWISE and the award-winning feature documentary DIRTBAG: THE LEGEND OF FRED BECKEY. 

Darren directed and edited three of the nine episodes of the travel/adventure doc series, THE WIZARD’S EYE, and is currently editing SAM NOW and a few other projects that will be released later this year.

Rose Mayer rotates between art directing, storyboards, and illustration for videos at Bibleproject. Her personal work focuses on color, narrative, and liminality. She keeps a sketchbook you can follow on Instagram.

She lives in Portland and loves everything about her cloudy home.  A Pacific Northwest native, she enjoys abundant greenery, beaches, tidepools, wetlands, and everywhere living things thrive.

Jagat's life spoke to her, and it felt crucial to honor his journey, his family, and his community by helping to tell their story.
